If you've taken notice the featured image for many of my post here and all of he branding for my company incorporate water in some way. There is a reason for this.
This weekend I started to do my typical morning download on my IG stores. It quite beautifully snowballed into addressing the fear of mysticism in modern religions and the importance of honoring ours ancestors.
In trying to condense these topics I realized a few things
This topics started to touch on areas much deeper than I could address in a few Instagram clips.
Trying to speak to everyone's level of understanding at once only creates further confusion. I’d be stuck in a loop trying to appease everyone and/or not offend .
Although I didn't go searching for it, this video arrived is just in time. Adunola did so well discussing the intersection of faith and the stigma around water spirits* that I don't feel the need to break it down any further.
Postscript note
John "the Baptist" is the only water spirit I know that I haven't heard a negative stigma attached.
*= My spiritual grandpa Chuck Swindoll often clarifies that John was a Baptizer...i.e. it was a thing he did, LOL. Not his identity, not a member/founder of the Baptist denomination of the Christian church.
That ain't got nothing to do with nothin'.
I've just always thought that was hilarious...
