Post 1 of 3 of my response to the social media activism "Black Out" Campaign.

There are a few basic things you must know when you land here...𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒔𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈*. The first is that this is a personal page intended for the public to view.
I may stand before everyone, yet I do not have an assignment with everyone:
𝐌𝐲 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐢𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝.
Most of my undertakings are done in the real world (see bio) yet it is my intention for this post serve as a point of reference in case you’ve missed me in action. The following titles/labels speak of WHO I AM yet not what I bring to those descriptions #BlackExcellence
While labels can often be reductive, they can help us to find, & more easily define, who people are in environments where we are not privy to context and history. I’m illustrating my classifications to help you deconstruct & reconstruct them (at least as it relates to me):
𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌.
𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭-𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫.
𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫.
𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚 𝐔.𝐒. 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲 𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭.
𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚 𝐰𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝐦𝐚𝐧.
𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐮𝐫.
𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫.
I’ll expound on each these now (and perpetually expand on each as you get to know me better). I start here because this is the most relevant in this time on the planet.
𝐈 𝐚𝐦 proudly, deeply, richly...𝑩𝒍𝒂𝒄𝒌.
I recognize that Blackness has range, depth, complexity, and variety. Ethnicity is real; nationality is too, but race is a social construct. While it is not scientific in its parameters, it is real in the consequences we face because of it.
